To further our efforts to advance aviation, EAA Chapter 43 currently has a scholarship program to help obtain an aviation education for young people and to help extend the aviation education levels of adults by assisting with costs of aviation education and advance rating training.

The Chapter encourages anyone who is pushing the envelope of aviation to apply for one of our scholarship awards. The scholarships can be used for any aviation related education. This includes, but is not limited to, college, technical schools, flight training and the EAA Air Academy.

In 2010, we helped three students obtain their solo check-outs and sent one student to the EAA Air Academy.

In 2011, we helped two students work their way to their solo check-outs and sent one student to the EAA Air Academy.

Our 2012 goals are to send two scholarship awardees to EAA Air Academy programs and assist two other scholarship awardees to flight training or other aviation related education endeavors.

• Scholarship - EAA Young Eagles Camp (for Youth ages 12 & 13)
  Date of Camp:  July 5-9, 2012
  EAA Chapter 43 Scholarship Application Deadline:  12/31/2011
  Selection Process:  Interviews conducted 1/1 through 2/15/2012

• Scholarship - EAA Advanced Air Academy (for Youth ages 16, 17 & 18)
  Date of Camp:  July 17-25, 2012
  EAA Chapter 43 Scholarship Application Deadline:  12/31/2011
  Selection Process:  Interviews conducted 1/1 through 2/15/2012

• 2 Scholarships (up to $1500/ea.) - Flight Training or Other Aviation Related Education Endeavor
  Scholarship Application Deadline:  2/28/2012
  Selection Process:  Interviews conducted 3/1 through 4/15/2012
